I thought this was really good. Nice and clear, grounded, solid reasoning, and concretely applicable to real life. I've read hundreds of these kind of books and I really appreciate when the material is presented in a grounded and accessible way like it is here.

The book has helped me get back to meditation.It is easy to wander away, but this book has brought me back...into my 2nd reading now

This is a good beginning book for those interested in Theravadan Buddhism. Even though I've practiced this form for many years, this book has continued to educate me. I purchased another copy for my son, who is just starting on this path.

Excellent work providing penetrating insight into core Buddhist truths in a practical, direct, and easily understandable vernacular. Highly recommended.

Excellent presentation. A great primer for the beginning Buddhist and a great refresher for the rest.

Ayya Khema writes clearly and succinctly. This is not my favorite book by her, but it is a good book, particularly for anyone new to buddhism.

This is one of my favorite Ayya Khema books, but be aware it's a word for word copy of another Ayya book published under the title "When The Iron Eagle Flies". Both books are published by Wisdom Publications and it really raises question about their integrity when they publish the same book under two different titles.

WonderfulAyya Khema's teachings provides a variety of practices for the daily journey of meditation.
